Do you ever have one of those days where all you want to do is get away? This last Sunday we had that feeling. After church we decided to spend the rest of the day in San Francisco! The weather was PERFECT! Not too hot, barely any clouds in the sky, and of course an amazing ocean breeze. We parked and walked along the coast for a bit by the Golden Gate.
After enjoying the amazing view and fresh air we were STARVING! Well christian was becoming “hangry”and we all know how men get when they are hungry am I right? lol!
Because of me eating a plant based diet, it often feels like its difficult to find a place where we can both eat. When we first started dating I wasn’t a vegetarian let along vegan but over the past year I have made a lot of new lifestyle changes which is one of the reasons why I started this blog in the first place. I can understand how it can be challenging to be with someone that doesn’t eat meat or anything by an animal but I will say that he is non stop supportive and always willing to eat somewhere that has food for me to eat or cook a meal to accommodate the both of us. I am so thankful for that! ANYWAYS! I will make another blog specifically about how I chose the plant based diet and how I fit my everyday life into it. keep an eye out for that one!
We found a restaurant called Beretta which was so awesome! The feel of the place inside was comfortable, a little crowded, but we were seated right away which doesn’t happen very often when you pick a random place in the city to have dinner!
We ordered sweet potato fries because who doesn’t love those! I don’t know if I mentioned this already but anything with potatoes I can eat. That’s not always a good thing I know but I can’t help it haha.
After dinner we headed over to Lombard Street. Its kind of a tradition for christian and I do go down Lombard Street before leaving the city. I honestly don’t know how its started but ever since we were dating it just came a thing.
That was our day in the city! wasn’t a whole lot that happened but overall we had a good day and we might be back this Saturday for our anniversary! I’ll explain more in that blog post so keep an eye out for that!
